Cincinnati has much to offer us. The city’s booming economy means there are plenty of jobs for free blacks and fugitive slaves. A well-established, vibrant black community can be found here. We have churches, schools, an orphanage, a cemetery, lodges, and a variety of benevolent, temperance, and mutual aid societies.
