Location

  • The Price Hill Branch is temporarily relocated in the Price Hill Recreation Center after a portion of the ceiling fell in on July 3, 2018 and created major safety and structural problems.
  • The Library has employed the services of FTC&H architects to make necessary improvements to the branch, including making the building handicap accessible.
  • Branch improvement work will not begin before the second half of 2019, as the Library is currently gathering neighborhood input to identify and prioritize community needs, which will inform the plans FTC&H develop for an improved branch.

Special Services

Use your library card to check out a laptop from the Price Hill Branch laptop kiosk. Curbside service is now available at all branches. Visit the Main Library's MakerSpace to use our 3D printers, laser cutters, engravers, and other equipment to create, invent, and learn!

Meeting Room

The Price Hill Branch, which is operating out of the Price Hill CRC, is not currently offering meeting space. Meeting space is available at the nearby branches of Covedale, Delhi Township, Westwood, or the Main Library.

Next Generation Libraries Project

Thanks to the residents of Hamilton County, the Library will receive approximately $19 million in additional funding for the next ten years beginning in April 2019, for a total of $190 million. Given that the average length of time since a branch has been renovated is 40+ years, the bulk of this funding will go toward improving each of the Library’s 41 locations. The development of the Plan will take place throughout 2019, and the Library will hold hundreds of community engagement sessions to listen and learn from the community about what their biggest needs are and how the Library, with its 41 locations, can be re-envisioned to serve not just today’s generation but also generations to come. Branch History

The Price Hill Branch, which opened in 1909, is one of the nine area libraries in Hamilton County built with funds provided by the Andrew Carnegie Foundation. Notable features of the French Renaissance style brick and limestone building include a roof with tin deck and slate slopes, fleur-de-lis grid over the doors, bird head door handles, and cherry wood shelves.
