What’s New · Alexa Skill

If you have an Amazon Echo in your home or the Alexa app on your mobile device, finding out what's happening at the Library is just an ask away! An Alexa Skill, developed specifically for our Library is now available in the Skill Store. There are several ways to enable the skill on your device:

  • Just say, "Alexa, enable Cincinnati Library skill.”
  • Go to Amazon Alexa app on your mobile device, search for the skill “Cincinnati Library”, click "enable skill."
  • Go to alexa.amazon.com on your computer, search for the skill “Cincinnati Library”, click "enable skill."
  • Go to Amazon.com, search for “Cincinnati Library”, select the skill, click "enable skill”

Once enabled, you can search for Library events for any date or age group, at any of our locations. Sample questions:

  • What's going on today at the Main Library?
  • What's going on this week at Sharonville Branch?
  • Are there any events for kids today at Greenhills Branch?
  • Are there any events for teens this week at North Central Branch?
  • Are there any events for toddlers this weekend at Wyoming Branch?
  • Are there any events for adults next week at Hyde Park Branch?

You can also ask for Library hours. Sample questions:

  • Is Price Hill Branch open tomorrow?
  • What's going on this week at Sharonville Branch?
  • Is Clifton Branch open on Sunday?

For more information about events, say, "get details”. You can navigate through event details by saying "next," "previous" or “repeat”. At this time only events, locations, and hours of operation are available.
