Notes from My Captivity
In Parks' (The Lifeboat Clique, 2016) life-or-death adventure, Adrienne Cahill cares about three things: getting into a great college, becoming a famous journalist and making her late father proud of her. When she has the opportunity to travel to Siberia with her stepfather, an anthropology professor, Adrienne's given the chance to write an article that will earn her a college scholarship and debunk her foolish stepfather’s belief that a legendary family of hermits is living in the Siberian wilderness. The adventure goes horribly wrong after they discover the Osinov family who disappeared 30 years ago. When Adrienne is held captive by the hermits, her only hope for escape is to make the son, Vanya, fall in love with her and take her back to civilization.
